Thank you for your Kind words

It’s good to be able to report on some feedback about Switchback, some of which is posted on this website under About > Reviews. A big thank you for those who have commented having read my memoir. I am thrilled at the breadth of comment and how each person has picked up on different aspects of the book, they have particularly enjoyed. I had wondered how the dialogue effect between the “now”and “then” might work out and am really glad you have liked that aspect of the text, along with the different events.

Some have commented on the travel and enthusiastically compared notes about their adventures in the places I had visited as a child; others have been interested in the psychological component. They have particularly noted possible applications to today’s troubled world and people. There has also been much supportive comment from people of faith or those in search or doubt of it. Overall the most frequent comment has been “I couldn’t put it down”, and that’s such great encouragement for any author to hear!

Others, however, are disappointed, that the memoir only covers my life until I was about twenty. Sorry about that, but I’ve already started on the sequel. My long life (of sixty plus more years since the book’s end) has continued to be just as eventful, challenging and rewarding, causing many reflections, lots of dreams and much learning. Maybe I will be able to give you some hints about it in these blogs as I continue to write. So do keep in touch via this webpage. We aim to have a new blog posting every month.
